Job Description

You can choose to work in our office or permanently from home (WFH) anywhere in the Philippines.

Ehrlich IT Services, Inc. is looking for a Solution Architect with strong DevOps and programming experience to start ASAP.  AWS is the preferred platform, but GCP and Azure are also highly regarded.

The Solution Architect role is responsible for developing solutions, systems and platforms, based on sound technology design principles, including adoption of best-practice frameworks for enterprise architecture.

The role will oversee design and development of systems, including the assembly of such things as infrastructure, servers, software, hardware, middleware and database components.  The role is accountable for ensuring the delivery of major, strategic systems and platforms to our client’s franchisees (FSE), franchisors (FSO) and internal stakeholders.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Provide expert advice; analyze and make recommendations on detailed business requirements to ensure alignment between all stakeholders
  • Provide technical advice, technical analysis and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders on planning, design and operation of systems and platforms to achieve efficiency and ensure fit for purpose
  • Ensure continual improvement by identifying and assessing innovative products/features that can offer new or improved capability to stakeholders, and customers, and to meet service delivery standards and optimal customer experience
  • Apply advanced knowledge of architecture and global standards to provide technical expertise on assigned projects and deliver the required outputs on time and to expected standards
  • Support the IT Department and business with procurement activities and discussions with suppliers to ensure the organization receives effective solutions at a competitive price, and that support contracts are being satisfactorily delivered by third-party vendors
  • Assist Product Owners, Business Analysts and Developers to derive optimum solutions based on best-practice frameworks and right-fit technologies for systems and platforms
  • Develop solutions and undertake system implementation and integration activities on key projects

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or Postgraduate qualification in a computer science or a technology-related discipline with a minimum of 10 years of solution development experience, implementing complex systems comprising infrastructure, hardware, software and associated technology components.
  • An understanding of enterprise architecture, solution architecture, solution design and software development is essential.  Experience in web-based technologies preferred.

  • Software development and programming proficiency
  • Infrastructure expertise in either AWS, GCP or Azure, with a preference for AWS
  • Ability to integrate third-party components into a cohesive, robust solution
  • Expertise in solution architecture frameworks, design principles and associated methodologies
  • Demonstrated ability in leading technology teams in the development of class-leading solutions.
  • Proficiency in performance tuning and optimisation techniques
  • Experience in technical analysis, solution design and technology delivery across a range of industry verticals
  • Previous experience in the implementation of technology platforms, including infrastructure, hardware, software, databases and third-part software components
  • Proven ability to share information with others in a highly effective and influential manner
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and fostering a culture where high performance, quality and service are valued
  • Demonstrated creativity in the development of innovative solutions for complex business problems
  • Successfully delivered large initiatives by coordinating technical teams
  

ACTIVITIES

  • Solution Architecture
    • Provide expert technical guidance in terms of effective deployment of solutions and architectures to achieve business goals while ensuring compliance with the overall enterprise architecture
    • Identify cost effective and technically viable solutions to overcome business challenges and meet the business objectives of the client organization
    • Define the behavior, characteristics, and structure of the platforms and solutions to stakeholders
    • Create specifications for managing solutions delivered by the IT Department
    • Recognise domains where technology can aid the goals and needs of the client’s divisions
    • Collaborate with different business and technology teams to develop the IT Programme of Work
    • Create, assemble, relocate and decommission software and services, across the organization, as required
    • Consult and communicate with internal and external stakeholders to establish effective technology solutions and platforms
    • Identify improvements in the procedure for assembling solutions
  • Solution Design
    • Design and develop end-to-end solutions and providing technical recommendations
    • Collaborate with stakeholders, solution architects, solution designers, and enterprise architects to ensure successful and timely delivery of projects
    • Work with Developers in the IT Department to successfully deliver project artifacts and outcomes
    • Provide effective risk management and identifying issues related to solution design
    • Collaborate with the client’s stakeholders to establish strong working relationships – to present business, technology requirements, and proposed solutions
  • Solution Development
    • Develop and implement software components.  Integrate software components into new and existing systems and platforms
    • Coordinate software development tasks within the client’s IT Department
    • Quickly produce well-organized, optimized and documented systems and platforms
