Job Description

You can choose to work in our office or permanently from home (WFH) anywhere in the Philippines.

Ehrlich IT Services, Inc. is looking for a software engineer with strong Node.js and TypeScript experience to start ASAP.

As a software engineer on the Integrations team, you will be focused on writing code to expand the capabilities of our clients’ large data integration platform. You must exhibit independent creativity, a curiosity to research new technologies and methodologies, and a pervasive desire to dig into complex technical issues while respecting team timelines and commitments.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Design and develop scalable, and fault tolerant, distributed cloud services that drive integrations and meet the business needs.
  • Design and develop data integration APIs that will be used by internal systems as well as external customers.
  • Contribute to the advancement of our open source Node.js integrations SDK and libraries to eliminate boilerplate, increase resiliency and, improve integration runtime performance.
  • Deploy code using Docker and Terraform to our AWS cloud-native infrastructure.
  • Work with a distributed team to solve problems quickly and collaboratively.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Candidate must possess at least Bachelor’s/College Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent such a eneging, physics or mathematics 
  • 3+ years of experience in a Software Engineering role.
  • Experience working with a team of software engineers and conducting/responding to code reviews focused on code quality.
  • Experience developing a large-scale distributed environment in the cloud (preferably AWS, but Azure or GCP is great as well).
  • Significant software testing experience against production systems or libraries.
  • Experience with web technologies and architectures. Familiar with API rate limiting, common HTTP response codes, etc.
 
DESIRED EXPERIENCE
  
  • Experience developing open source software. We love open source! Include your GitHub profile if you have one!
  • Experience using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.
  • Experience developing ETL pipelines.
  • Experience developing third-party API integrations.
  • Experience using a graph database, such as Neo4j.
