Job Description

Ehrlich IT Services, Inc. is looking for a web developer (HTML, SCSS, JavaScript) to start ASAP. You can work from home (WFH), anywhere in the Philippines or in our office.

We’re looking for a front-end web developer to join our team. More specifically, we’re looking for someone who is comfortable taking complex elaborate design mockups and replicating them with code. You will be focused on creating custom CMS driven websites (for example WordPress) for our company client in the franchising and services industry.

You’ll be working closely with their production team, including design staff and other developers, to build enticing web sites. You will also be responsible for handling site performance and SEO.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • To build new web pages and improve our company websites. Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP
  • Handling the integration of plugins such as WooCommerce, and performing routine maintenance of our sites.
  • Write well-designed, testable, efficient code by using web development best practices
  • Create website layouts and user interfaces with HTML and CSS
  • Content management systems (CMSs) such as WordPress, Joomla, Magento or Custom

 

Database Driven Website(s). 

  • UI/UX design experience
  • Create graphics and infographics if required (Knowledge of graphic design)
  • Relational databases such as MySQL
  • Perform Website Audits from time to time and highlight the best practice required to improve search engine visibility.
  • Perform SEO best practices on all websites (including on-page and off-page SEO).
  • Integrate data from various back-end web services and databases
  • Work with stakeholders to gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs.
  • Create and maintain documentation
  • Ensure cross-browser compatibility of the websites.
  • Be responsible for maintaining, expanding, and scaling our site
  • Stay plugged into emerging technologies and industry trends and apply them to operations and activities
  • Collaborate with web designers and manager to realize visual design intent

 

QUALIFICATIONS.

  • Minimum 3 years experience as a front end developer (or full stack, but with strong focus on fronted)
  • Able to produce quality front end code independently
  • Goal oriented and self-organizing
  • Strong skills with HTML, CSS and JavaScript
  • Experience using CSS prepossessing i.e. SCSS is a big plus
  • Knowledge building web sites using CMS systems such as WordPress, Joomla, Magento or Custom Database Driven Website(s). 
  • Ability to handle the integration of plugins such as WooCommerce
  • Some experience with a backend development using PHP
  • The ability to build custom WordPress themes and strong familiarity with concepts such as custom post types and custom fields (optional)
  • A understanding of SEO and site optimization
  • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Graphic Design or Information Technology (or other relevant degree)
