Job Description

Ehrlich IT Services, Inc. is looking for a software engineer with strong backend and database experience to start ASAP. You will be working in our office in Cebu City. We are seeking a motivated and talented Junior Java Developer with a strong foundation in Java and Spring to join our team. As a Junior Java Developer, you will contribute to the development, maintenance, and improvement of our cutting-edge applications and services.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Assist in the design, development, and implementation of Java-based applications using the Spring framework.
  • Work on micro service APIs for banking and financial organizations
  • Collaborate with the development team to understand requirements and implement solutions that meet the desired functionality and performance.
  • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code, following best practices and industry standards.
  • Actively participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality software and identify potential areas of improvement.
  • Debug and resolve software defects and issues in a timely manner.
  • Support the integration of applications with external systems and services.
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of technical documentation, including design documents, user guides, and system manuals.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies, tools, and best practices in Java and Spring development.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 0-1 years of experience in Java development, with a solid understanding of object-oriented programming concepts.
  • Basic English (3 out of 10 or B1 level)
  • Proficiency in the Spring framework, including Spring Boot, OAuth and Spring Security.
  • Familiarity with modern Java development tools and frameworks, such as Maven,, JUnit, and Mockito.
  • Experience with relational databases and SQL, preferably using JPA.
  • Basic understanding of front-end technologies, such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
 
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
 
  • Experience with SOAP and RESTful web services / micro service and API development.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban.
  • Knowledge of version control systems, such as Git.
