Job Description

 

Ehrlich IT Services, Inc. is looking for a web developer (Shopify, HTML, SCSS, JavaScript) to start ASAP. You can work from home (WFH), anywhere in the Philippines or in our office.

 

We’re looking for a front-end web developer to join our team. More specifically, we’re looking for someone who is comfortable taking complex elaborate design mockups and replicating them with code. You will be focused on the ecommerce web site  of our company client and Shopify experience is a big plus.

 

You’ll be working closely with their production team, including design staff and other developers, to build an enticing ecommerce experience. You will also be helping with handling site performance and SEO.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • To build new web pages and improve an existing ecommerce pages. 
  • Write well-designed, testable, efficient code by using frontend web development best practices
  • Create website layouts and user interfaces with HTML, SCSS and JavaScript
  • Work on the ongoing development of a high-traffic Shopify web page and have Shopify knowledge or be willing to learn Shopify and Liquid on the job
  • An eye for good UI/UX design and detailed oriented implementation of designs
  • Help to perform SEO best practices on all pages (including on-page and off-page SEO).
  • Work with stakeholders to gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs.
  • Ensure cross-browser compatibility of the websites.
  • Be responsible for maintaining, expanding, and scaling our site
  • Stay plugged into emerging technologies and industry trends and apply them to operations and activities
  • Collaborate with web designers and manager to realize visual design intent

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 Minimum 3 years experience as a front end developer (or full stack, but with strong focus on fronted)

  • Able to produce quality front end code independently
  • Goal oriented and self-organizing
  •  Strong skills with HTML, CSS and JavaScript
  •  Experience using CSS prepossessing i.e. SCSS is a big plus
  •  Knowledge building ecommerce web sites
  •  Shopify experience and knowledge of Liquid is a big plus, but can also be learned on the job 
  • A understanding of SEO and site optimization
  •  Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Graphic Design or Information Technology (or other relevant degree)
